Tips for working at home 

Keeping a routine is an important tip. If your like me, you love to get up in the morning and hit the gym, a run on the beach, walk, or even meditate. These are important aspects of getting ready for your day-regardless if you work from home or in an office. Take time to enjoy your tea or coffee and even have breakfast.

Start by setting your workspace up for the day. Power up your laptop or computer, get your pen/pencil, writing pad, and highlighter out so your not scrambling to find these items should you need them throughout your work day.

During your workday, be sure to engage with your colleagues or team. Share your coworkers at home whether they are children or furry friends. Although they are not next to you, you can still engage with them. You can email them or call them.

Don’t forget to get up and move around. When we work from home, we tend to be more comfortable. Get up and stretch every 15 -20 minutes.

Be sure to take your lunch and breaks. We need to take those times and rest our eyes and minds. It also keeps you from getting tired so quickly since your alone most of the time.

Lastly, end the day as you would normally if you were in the office. Don’t feel guilty about leaving a task for the next day.
