2021 A Year to Make Great Changes To Improve Your Life
It is 2021, and people are still unhappy, ungrateful, and stressed with the coronavirus. There is a vaccine now and many folks are getting protected. Although 2021 still holds a bit of uncertainty, it can be another great year. The year 2020 was a year of discovery for many people including myself.
In 2020, our free lives went to a halt. Many businesses mandated to close while others had a limited capacity. Employees transitioned to working from home and the kids switched to remote learning. I found 2020, to be the year where everyone learned something new.
If we look back pre-pandemic, we were rushing around and focusing on work, or other things. We weren’t spending enough time with our husband, wife, partner, children, or family. This pandemic has brought us back to basics. The family should be first, our health, and then work.
In 2020, I spent a lot of time alone, reading, learning, taking courses to earn new certificates. I was able to focus on prayer, meditation, exercise, and building knowledge. I chose not to watch the news but to spend quality time with my family and finding new ways of healthy cooking.
I learned to focus on my peace and not to let anything that is occurring around me disturb that peace. Life will go back to the norms but I have changed my way of being. I spent time running at the beach, walking, or riding my bike. I listened to meditation videos and learned new ways of protecting my inner peace.
As 2020 came to a close, gyms and restaurants started to open. I joined the gym and committed to becoming strong and eating healthy. As a writer, you tend to spend a lot of time alone. It is necessary so that the words flow from your thoughts onto your laptop.
At the end of February 2021, my father passed at the age of 86. He was a great father who provided a great life for my two brothers and me. As I am the baby and only girl, I was daddy’s girl. I will miss him but I am shifting my focus on the wonderful life we had while he was alive. It has given me a peace that is indescribable.
Our focus in 2021 should be much different than the one for 2020. Focus on being healthy, spending time with family, starting your goals, and implementing the dream life you have been pushing off for years. Life waits for no one. We need to live each day happy and full. Learn new ways of maintaining your inner peace by meditation and prayer. You will see life and all that occurs around you, in a whole new way.
